Application for an SST Travel Grant

WHO CAN APPLY:
Travel support covering cost for travel and accommodation is granted to doctoral students and master students for the active participation at an international scientific conference in the area of Toxicology. Applicants have to be members of SST or should have submitted their membership application to SST. Travel applications are limited to one application per research group per year.

PREREQUISITES:
Active participation means that the candidate presents his/her work as a poster (first author) or an oral communication at the conference. The abstract for the presentation must be included in the application, together with the application form, a short CV, and the budget draft for the travel expenses. Application should be sent no later than 2 months before the start of the
conference.

AMOUNT OF SUPPORT:
Travel grants are provided based on the applicant’s budget draft, according to the criteria for travel supports defined by the Swiss National Fonds, and are usually limited to a maximum of CHF 1000.- per event. Higher contributions are only possible in exceptional, well-founded cases.

DECISION PROCESS / INFORMATION:
The decision on the applications will be taken by the SST board in due time. The applicant will be directly informed about the outcome by the SST secretary. If more eligible candidates apply that can be funded, selection will be based on quality and qualification criteria.
